Icelandic Mountain PillowsThe Herdubreid mountain pillow by Markrún was named after the queen of Icelandic mountains, Herdubreid. The pillow covers are handmade in Berlin where the Markrun designers, Leopold Kristjansson and Steinunn Arnardottir, live and work. The simple clean shape was inspired by naïve art and modernistic design.

Materials & Production

The pillow covers are almost exclusively made from overstock of materials we source from all around and are sewn in Germany. The inner cushion is filled with goose feathers and made in Poland. The paper for our posters and cards is 100% recycled and printed in Germany.

All pillows have a concealed YKK zipper underneath. The cover is double layered, giving the pillow a firmer feel and shape. Inner cushion (filling) complies with UK and France fire safety regulations.
